A well-established tea and coffee growing region, Kiambu County sits on the northern edge of Nairobi's urban sprawl. The Karinga factory was founded way back in 1983 and currently looks after 500 contributing member farmers, with a further 150 currently inactive. Sadly, a recent slump in cherry prices led many to give up - either growing tea instead, or leaving their farms altogether.

We love this coffee's refreshing acidity and somewhat lighter body to its Nyeri counterparts.


Suitable for espresso and filter brewing. Best served black. Enjoy within four weeks of roast date.
