Mecca Coffee x Ironclad presents The Cut, a competition platform built to celebrate talent, creativity, inspiration and aspirations.

The Cut is a night where four talented Sydney chefs come together in a duel of wits, skills and creative expression to secure that juicy first spot.

Through a ‘people’s choice’ system, diners will decide the destiny of these four talents. Only the best dish will gain its maker’s victory!

Tickets are limited, so secure your tickets now for this unforgettable event at Mecca Alexandria, with MC for the night, the illustrious Myffy Rigby! 

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to our good mates at TWO GOOD CO who are doing more than good stuff to support, empower and employ women at risk of homelessness.

Given the nature of the event being a competition, we can accommodate vegetarian substitutions however other dietary requirements we may not be able to fulfil. Take a look at the menu below.

Pepperberry seared squid with coffee mignonette and charred native greens.
(Gluten free, dairy free, nut free, can be made vegan / vegetarian, contains shellfish)

Rolled venison with coffee and fig leaf, roasted beetroot and animal glaze.
(Gluten free but not coeliac, dairy free, nut free, can be made vegan / vegetarian, contains shellfish)

Seared coffee rubbed lamb backstrap with agro dolce onions, fennel and Moonacres gem lettuce.
(Gluten free, dairy free, nut free, can be made vegan / vegetarian, contains shellfish)

Caramelised coffee custard tart with grilled stone fruits.
(Contains gluten, contains dairy, contains nuts, vegetarian friendly cannot be made vegan, does not contain shellfish)

THE CATCH

There’s always a catch. Each contestant not only will create a dish using Mecca Coffee as the secret ingredient but they have to rely on Ironclad cast iron equipment to bring their most impressive creations to life. Who will make The Cut? Through a ‘people’s choice’ system, diners will decide the destiny of these four talents. Only the best dish will gain its maker’s victory!
