MOUNTAIN CULTURE x MECCA COFFEE
For the first time, we’ve paired with the people at Mountain Culture to create an Imperial Pastry Stout that actually tastes like Tiramisu using the Sumatran varietal straight from Luciano Vicente’s Micro Lot located in Caconde, São Paulo in Brazil.
The coffee was steeped in Mountain Culture’s fermenter for 24 hours and then we built its Tiramisu-like flavour profile by adding 100 trays of fresh Tiramisu based on Mecca’s Head Chef Brett Barbuto’s family recipe. Giving this stout its creamy, complex coffee notes followed by indulgent hints of chocolate, vanilla and sponge cake drenched in Nonna’s favourite liqueurs.

Buon Appetito!
The Coffee & Producer
Cultivated by single families and handcrafted to perfection, FAF Reserve coffees are sourced from the cream of the crop of our partner farms.
Antonio Vicente, Luciano’s father, arrived at the coffee farming town of Caconde in São Paulo at the early age of fifteen. Antonio didn’t waste time, he got married, bought a piece of land up the mountain and named it Vila Vicente. Here is where Luciano and his seven siblings were born and raised, surrounded by family, nature and of course, coffee trees.
Unfortunately time caught up with Antonio, and he passed away over 20 years ago. After this, Luciano inherited 3 hectares and started building his legacy with all the knowledge his father passed on to him. With dedication and enthusiasm (and with help from his neighbour João Hamilton), Luciano slowly started developing a strong connection with his coffee fields. He takes pride in saying to visitors that he personally planted, picked, roasted and brewed the coffee he serves at his farm.
His love for the land and his surroundings translates into the cup; bringing a smooth, buttery mouthfeel & lingering sweetness, finishing with flavours of tiramisu and blueberry.
